Back to Work

i thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes       (e.e. cummings)

Thank you Goddess for giving me this day,
Keep me safe and guide me through it,
Care and protect those I love.
So mote it be.

I am grateful for:

  • Having good colleagues and friends to work with
  • My health
  • Having good food to eat and clean water to drink

I am praying for:

  • A person that I love who is lost.  I hope he finds his way and with it much happiness and joy.

I am pondering:

  • What I have achieved over the summer and what I want to achieve during the coming autumn.  It is still August but already the light and air has changed, the autumn is with us.

I have been listening to:

  • Gotterdammerung by Wagner

I have been reading:

  • The Pirate Wars by Peter Earle

I have been making:

  • A baby blanket for a work colleague.

Around the house and garden:

  • Lots of beans on my French bean plants
  • Eating home grown lettuce and tomatoes
  • Making my own antiseptic cleaning spray with Castille soap and Tea Tree essential oil.

August Full Moon

Thank you Goddess for giving me this day,
Keep me safe and guide me through it,
Care and protect those I love,
So mote it be.

I am grateful for:
  • A hot cup of tea
  • Sleeping and dreaming
  • Good food
I am praying for:

  • The people of Syria who are suffering so much

I am pondering:

  • The passing of the summer and the forthcoming autumn.

I am listening to:

  • BBC Radio 4

Around the house:

  • I have spent too much time dreaming and not enough time doing

In the kitchen:

  • I am making chickpea and vegetable loaf and fruit salad

My domestic church:

  • Today there is a full moon, known as the Barley Moon.   I am focussing on my physical health and am going to carry out a ritual to release my old attitude about not caring for my fitness, and I am replacing it with a new exercise plan.
My ritual:  Ground.   Light a floating candle in a bowl of water that has been scattered with flower petals picked from the garden.    Write what I want to let go of on a slip of paper.   Burn the slip of paper in the candle flame.    Declare aloud that I am releasing my negative attitude towards taking care of my physical fitness.

Saving money:

  • I haven't spent any money today.
